Altitude Pressure
This calculator uses barometric formula to find out the pressure at the given altitude
The equation for the variation of barometric pressure with height, called barometric formula, has the form
,
where
- Molar mass of Earth's air, 0.0289644 kg/mol
- Gravitational acceleration, 9.80665 m/(s*s)
- Height difference, meters
- Universal gas constant for air, 8.31432 N·m /(mol·K)
- Air temperature, К
Default value for is 760 mmHg, i.e. standard barometric pressure, 101.325 kPa or 1 atmosphere. It also corresponds to 0 meters above sea level and can be left as is. Change the height (altitude above sea level) and temperature and get the results. Note that this is a theoretical value; in reality, atmosphere pressure depends not only on altitude and temperature but also on other factors such as humidity and weather conditions.
